New Nokia Netbook Launched

Mobile phone giant Nokia of Finland is taking on Dell and Apple with its own laptop with a 10-inch display and running Microsoft Windows.

It will have software linking it with other Nokia devices and services.

The Nokia Booklet 3G is the wireless giant's first foray into the world of personal computers since selling its original computer business in 1991.

Analysts said Nokia clearly hopes its brand, distribution and channel technology can sustain it in a highly competitive market segment. The Booklet 3eG can play high-definition video. Nokia would not reveal the selling price nor where the new laptop will be made. It promises more information in Europe in September.
